Volunteers Needed!

Makeshift Theater will be opening soon at the Coach House behind the Akron Woman’s City Club 732 W. Exchange Street in Akron. We have been renovating the space and are looking forward to our first production, “The Night I Died at the Palace Theater” on September 19th at 7:00.

We need a cadre of volunteers to take tickets, sell concessions, usher folks to their seats, help backstage with last minute disasters and generally do everything but act. Our volunteers get to see the shows for free and have fun meeting new people and being a part of live theater.

If you would like to join us, we are having a training session for volunteers on Saturday, September 13 at 10:00 am at the theater. You will get a full tour and learn the ropes. Life is too short to spend it sitting at home. Come join us and keep live theater alive!

If you would like to volunteer but aren’t available on the 13th, we can arrange for another date.
